Christmas is Coming!!!!

The best holiday of the year because the Spirit of Christ hangs over everything we do. This is the one time of year where people are just generally nice to each other. Nic and I are not allowed to travel anywhere for the holidays because Cayden's arrival is too close and we don't want to take any risks. So we get to have our first Christmas, just the two of us, this year :)
Since we are gonna be at our apartment this year, we decided it was a must to get a real Christmas tree! I love it and it makes our little apartment feel so warm and Christmasy :D

We have also put up some lights on our balcony and around or front door. I guess that's the best you can do when you live in an apartment!

We are excited to get this semester over so we can just relax and enjoy all that Christmas has to offer. And hopefully our little angel decides not to arrive before Christmas, since we need him to cook a little longer before he comes out to play!

Mid-Summer UPDATE

I keep thinking I will be better at becoming a blogger, but alas, I have not improved much! We are both so busy! Nic is still working at the hospital doing phlebotomy and I am still in school. The great news is that I only have a few more weeks of classes left! woohoo!!! Then come the fall, I will be student teaching, then graduating! So come the end of the year will also be the end of my college career. I have to say I cannot wait to be done with school! This also works out perfect for our family because we will be welcoming our newest family member in January and it will be nice to be done with school so I can focus all my time on taking care of the baby.
As I previously said, Nic is working this summer. He works hard for our family so we can survive! He is going to be taking classes again in the fall and winter and then Nic will be done too, well at least with his undergrad. Then the long application process will begin for med school.
Well that's about it for the Cornia's right now...we don't have much excitement going on right now, but there are exciting things ahead! and we can't wait for them. Yay :)

Nauvoo!

Ok, I know I am really bad at keeping this up-dated. A few weeks ago, Nic and I had the opportunity to go to our friends, Terrell and Kellie's wedding in beautiful Nauvoo! It was an amazing experience to say the least. The trip was amazing, but getting there was an adventure! This picture is us in the St. Paul/ Minneapolis air port where we had a FIVE HOUR lay over! So needless to say we got to know that airport pretty well by the time our flight took off haha :D

The next day, we drove to Nauvoo, and got to see the beautiful temple there.
It was stand and look at the temple that the pioneers had once built. Even though it was not the exact same building, we were still filled with awe thinking of the great sacrifices our ancestors made for such a sacred building. We love to see the Temple!

The Bride and Groom looked amazing too :D But what couple does not coming right out of the temple having just been sealed for time and all eternity? It is the happiest day for anyone experiencing such blessings! Our other activities of the weekend included swimming in the Mississippi River (OK just for clarification, that was NOT me, just Nic and Mason). The bottom left picture is the boys after swimming in the river. We also got a brick from old Nauvoo. We Also had some fun adventures the next day in Des Moines, and went to a beautiful reception in Terrell and Kellie's honor :D They are such a beautiful couple! And what a wonderful weekend!

Neat Website!!!

I found this on my cousin Sarah's blog. It is this web page called wordle. You just type in a bunch of text and then it jumbles up the words in a cool way. You can then costomize it anyway you want! I had a lot of fun on it, and I made this one about my most wonderful hubby :D

Cabin Trip! :)

Nic and I are both in classes for spring semester, so that meant we had finals for winter semester, 4 days off, then right back into a new term! Because of the quick break, we wanted to get away from Provo for those days off to help rejuvenate our brains before jumping right back into school. So we chose to go up to Nic's family cabin and spend time with the family and enjoy our time off.
Of course I brought my camera all the way there and only took one picture of us driving to the cabin. Haha that's typical for me. We had a lot of fun, playing with our niece and nephew, going through all the neat antiques (Nic's family has been going to the cabin for a long time) and just checking out the most beautiful outdoors! We are so lucky to be a part of such and awesome family :) And the break form Provo and school was absolutely wonderful!
